Learn With Manta, University of Mines and Technology (UMaT)

Issah Tanko popularly known as 'MANTA' is a

Ghanaian

student studying Geomatic Engineering at the

University of Mines and Technology. He is the

welfare

officer for Michael Kofi Tetteh Hall (KT HALL)

2022/2023.

MANTA with his enormous skills has noticed that

most students especially the first years

(Level 100)

face a lot of challenges when it comes to Applied

electricity, linear algebra and trigonometry, Basic

Mechanics,

computer programming and technical drawing.

Due to his survey he has come out with a

meritable

idea of organising free classes for such students.

The classes commence every Saturday and

Sunday

from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the KT 2nd floor TV

room.

APPLIED ELECTRICITY

electric circuits arrangements, the principle of operations of transformers and motors and their applications. The issues of electric shock, common sources of hazards in industry and homes are also covered as well as safety measures necessary to avoid electrical shock and electrocution.

LINEAR ALGEBRA & TRIGONOMETRY

Linear algebra is a branch of mathematics that deals with linear equations and their representations in the vector space using matrices. In other words, linear algebra is the study of linear functions and vectors. It is one of the most central topics of mathematics. Most modern geometrical concepts are based on linear algebra.

Linear algebra facilitates the modeling of many natural phenomena and hence, is an integral part of engineering and physics. Linear equations, matrices, and vector spaces are the most important components of this subject.

Trigonometry is a branch of mathematics that deals with the study of triangles. It is sometimes informally referred to as "trig." In trigonometry, mathematicians study the relationships between the sides and angles of triangles. Right triangles, which are triangles with one angle of 90 degrees, are a key focus of study in this area of mathematics

BASIC MECHANICS

Mechanics may be divided into three branches: statics, which deals with forces acting on and in a body at rest; kinematics, which describes the possible motions of a body or system of bodies; and kinetics, which attempts to explain or predict the motion that will occur in a given situation.

Description

Description

Computer programming is the process of performing a particular computation, usually by designing and building an executable computer program. Programming involves tasks such as analysis, generating algorithms, profiling algorithms' accuracy and resource consumption, and the implementation of algorithms.

TECHNICAL DRAWING

A technical drawing, also known as an engineering drawing, is a detailed, precise diagram or plan that conveys information about how an object functions or is constructed. Engineers, electricians, and contractors all use these drawings as guides when constructing or repairing objects and buildings.
